Iowa native, Clayton Severson, was raised in a musical home and in vehicles that played nothing but country classics. Having a musical father and a church home that encouraged musical expression from a young age, Clayton became a proficient by-ear consumer and performer of music, often getting in trouble for making ‘noise’. In 2011, Clayton began performing and traveling around the states to share his music, logging many miles and memories before moving to Los Angeles in 2013 to sign an exclusive artist contract. 2015 brought him to Nashville to be a member of the performing/songwriting community where he has been known to pen songs with his frequent co-writers and fellow staff writers, Sean Swenson, Hannah May Allison, Ashley Scire, and John Miller, who collectively call their writing group ‘Smash:30’.
